In order to achieve its Vision, COHVCO Foundation seeks to:
- Educate the public on both the benefits of off-highway vehicle and snowmobile recreation, and on responsible use and protection of natural resources
- Employ an outreach program to promote the organization and our activities
- Utilize scientific research to determine best practices of trail system design and management, and measure the impacts and benefits of off-highway vehicle use on natural resources, wildlife, individuals, user groups, and communities
- Work cooperatively with public land management agencies to promote policies and travel management plans that reflect multiple use concepts and provide for sustainable, varied, and robust systems of trails as integral part of the plans
- Utilize cooperative agreements and volunteer efforts to construct, maintain and monitor trail systems and incorporate all of the relevant educational and scientific tools, including informative signage of trail heads and trails
