Volunteer Opportunity! – 106.7 KBPI’s Colorado Stimulus Package Round 3.5 October 10th

As the follow-up to the trip to Moab for KBPI’s Colorado Stimulus Package Round 3, Stay The Trail and the Rampart Range Motorized Management Committee will be hosting a work party on Saturday, October 10th at the Flat Rocks staging area.  Details can be found below, and lunch will be provided.

Join us for fun and fellowship maintaining the trails in the morning

and then ride in the afternoon.

Bring work boots, gloves and water. We have the tools.

Meet at 9am Sunday, October 10, 2009 at the entrance to Flatrocks Campground.

Directions:

Go south on US – 85 (Santa Fe) to Sedalia, CO. At Sedalia, turn west on Hwy 67 proceed 10 miles to Rampart Range Road. Head south 4.7 miles to the Flatrocks Campground and Trailhead Parking area.

and a little information about RRMMC:

Located in the Pike-San Isabel National Forest about 35 miles southwest of Denver are more than 100 miles of trail for off-road motorcycles and ATVs.  This area is known as the Rampart Range Motorized Recreation Area.

  

The Rampart Range Motorized Management Committee, Inc. (RRMMC) is an all-volunteer, nonprofit corporation founded in 1972 to work with the US Forest Service to promote and preserve the riding opportunities in the Rampart Range.

 

The South Platte Ranger District of the USDA Forest Service and the RRMMC have successfully worked together maintaining the trail system for over 35 years.
