Eagle County, Colorado
One of the more popular difficult trails in the state, Holy Cross offers the hard-core enthusiast breathtaking views and history along with very challenging obstacles. Plenty of old mines and site of the Holy Cross City ghost town.
From Avon: Head South on US-24 approx. 12 miles. Turn right on Gold Park/ Homestake Rd. Trail Head is shortly after the campground.

Holy Cross City Jeep Road (FSR759)**
Note that not all of the trails in an area will be open to all vehicle types. Follow the Motor Vehicle Use Maps (MVUM)s and signage for the area and ride only on trails open to and wider than your OHV.
Most routes in this area are open only to licensed, street-legal vehicles. Please refer to the MVUM for designated ATV and dirt bike routes.
