Rio Blanco County, Colorado
Popular northwestern Colorado rock-crawling area with a handful of trails and rock outcropping play areas. Trails are rated from easy to extreme; however, this area is mainly recommended for highly-modified 4x4s and custom-built rock crawlers.
Pin Point is at the entrance Kiosk.
From Highway 64, on the west side of Rangely, turn south on River Road.
Proceed on River Road until it curves onto County Road 2 and proceed west 2.1 miles. As the Road curves uphill and to the south, turn onto the south side of the road and pull into the parking area with kiosk.
From this point follow the marked dirt track 3 tenths of a mile to the southeast where the entrance to the first track is marked.
No maps or GPS files.
Note that not all of the trails in an area will be open to all vehicle types. Follow the Motor Vehicle Use Maps (MVUM)s and signage for the area and ride only on trails open to and wider than your OHV.
Most routes in this area are open only to licensed, street-legal vehicles. Please refer to the MVUM for designated ATV and dirt bike routes.
