Located northwest of Maybell, Sand Wash Basin is one of the only OHV areas in Northwest Colorado. This vast area managed by the BLM has many trails and is also a popular area for viewing wild horses.

From Maybell: Head west out of town on US-40 W approx 0.5 miles to CO-318 W. Turn northwest on CO-318 W and follow for approx 17.5 miles to trail access.
