Open riding area north of I-70 in Grand Junction. Includes a couple of the canyons leading north, including Hunter Canyon (21 Road). Very popular after-work riding area for locals. This area is also known as the Grand Valley Off-Highway Vehicle Area.

How To Get There

From Grand Junction: Head north on 12th St/27 Rd approx 1.3 miles from Horizon Dr. Turn east on H Rd and follow approx 0.2 miles to 27 1/4 Rd. Turn north on 27 1/4 Rd and follow approx 2.3 miles to trail access.

Some vehicles such as ATVs and side-by-sides are never street legal in Colorado even if licensed and plated in their home state. These vehicles must have a valid Colorado OHV registration or permit to be used on trails on public lands in Colorado.
