La Garita Stock Driveway and the surrounding ATV and singletrack trails are located on the eastern end of the Rio Grande National Forest. Providing trails that range in difficulty as they climb into the mountains, this is one of the best places in southern Colorado to get in long, scenic rides.

How To Get There

From La Garita: Head west on Co Rd G from Co Rd 42 and follow approx 0.9 miles where it will turn into Co Rd 38A. Follow Co Rd 38A approx 3.3 miles where it will curve into Co Rd E39. Continue west on Co Rd E39 approx 5.3 miles to trail access.

Call the responsible agency before making plans to ride in an area.
All vehicles operated on designated OHV routes in Colorado must have a registration or permit issued by Colorado State Parks including those of non-residents. For more information, visit the State Parks OHV Program Page.
Some vehicles such as ATVs and side-by-sides are never street legal in Colorado even if licensed and plated in their home state. These vehicles must have a valid Colorado OHV registration or permit to be used on trails on public lands in Colorado.
