Toys for Tots! The CoA4WDCi Christmas Caravan For Kids Event

Golden, CO – The 4WD community came out in force on December 5th, and not for a trail run… not for a rescue mission due to snowy conditions… not for a clean-up day on our public lands.  No, they came out for one of the best causes…  helping collect toys for youth who may otherwise have a pretty bleak Christmas morning.  As the sun rose higher in the morning sky, hundreds of 4x4s and other vehicles poured into the Jefferson County Fairgrounds from all around the Denver metro area, each with unwrapped toys to contribute.

Inside the arena, dozens of local vendors were set up to display their own toys and services, and the Stay The Trail trailer was given a spot directly inside the doors.  This was an ideal opportunity to continue to reinforce the responsible recreation message, as the OHV season winds down.  With total attendance of over 600, many of whom are very familiar with the ethic, it was a day filled with continued support for the program.
