Youth Conservation Corp. Builds Signs for all of Colorado

Posted by Mike on June 23, 2008

When this project first started, I thought, how are we going to get this done. This crew is younger than expected. Building quality looking signs like these would be hard work for most adults with no carpentry skills.

But you know what. They were the most determined, most hard working kids, that I have ever seen. This was not an easy project and as you can see in some of these pictures, these sign structures are big. But they did it, they worked together, they helped each other and they did a very professional job.

I would like to thank every one of them for their hours of hard work. And, if you are ever looking for talented recruits for careers in positions with the Forest Service, BLM or Colorado State Parks, these are the people you want to look at.

They all worked together as a team and they built a lot of signs.

They are the greatest crew, that I could ever have asked for. Look at those happy faces.

Look for these new, Stay The Trail sign structures, throughout Colorado this summer and remember, these are the great people who made them.

Rusty Lloyd, Sara Reed, Sam Parks, Eric Myers and Eric Hughs

They all played a big role in making the sign project a success.
