Extreme 4×4 – XRRA Rock Race Finals

This very competitive and extreme event requires some very serious talent and money to be able to play at the top levels of the sport. That’s not just driving talent but ingenuity, fabrication and mechanical skills as well. Most of these vehicles are far from what you can buy on a showroom floor. You may or may not be able to buy the basic frame for the vehicle, depending on what you want, but from there on you have to build it up. The top level machines are hand built from the ground up. That effort and the drivers skills are what determine if you will make it around the course, and if you do make it, was your time fast enough to win.

A lot of the drivers and rigs found it tough going to complete the loop, without crashing or breaking something. When you go upside down and break, they just role you over, hook up a big crane and lift you off the track.

The Stay The Trail trailer provided a great wind block in the afternoon. We had visitors of various interests stop at the trailer, some motorcycle, some ATV and many 4×4 fans.
